Cha-tastic!!

Day 5 - 13 Sep 09:

When I woke up I looked to see if Bec was there, and indeed she was not and everything was still on her bed. Amanda and I were wondering where she was but were too tired to go and look for her. About 30 minutes later Bec pokes her head in the door and we ask where she ended up. She tells us that her first thought waking up was, “Who is spooning me?” Amanda and I crack up and ask her if she is alright. She is indeed ok and goes back to sleep, in her bed this time.

Today was a free day at the Chateau, it was our only chance to rest before the whirlwind of Italy begins. I am already getting sick and take the opportunity to rest.

We knew that we had to be up by 10AM to get our Picnic Lunches for today. If we wanted we could walk up to “The Top of the World.” Bec, Amanda and I decide to do this even though we are all feeling a bit dusty. The reps mislead us….it is not a walk but a HIKE up to ‘The Top of the World.” We finally got to the top, ate our lunch and took a nap. The view was nice, but it was just as nice, if not better, at the Chateau.

We got back to the Chateau around 2 and enjoyed a nice leisurely afternoon sitting on the most fabulous outdoor couches. The afternoon passed slowly because our first 2 meals were so close together that by dinner, everyone was starving.

Dinner was good and after dinner we proceeded to move back to the couches. I took a shower and turned in early because I felt a cough developing.
